 Reverse Muscle-ups

Anyone here able to do reverse muscle-ups? If so, how did you get them? I'm trying to get my first one, but damn, they're tough!

I used negatives to get the regular muscle-ups, but doing negatives with the chin-up grip seems very awkward and a little painful. I'll post a vid when (and if) I get one.

i never did one, its a really strange technique, i think i can do a few, but the technique man chin up hold it high, hop ur wrist and twist it , its alot of technique i guess.

Absolutely. I think it's a lot of strength PLUS a lot of technique - that's why it's so tough to do.

You need a higher ceiling LB!

The roof over the pull-up bar at my gym is not that high, so every time I muscle-up there, I almost take out the light in the ceiling! The gym staff and other people working out look at me like I'm a freak or something - lol!

lol they dont hit the barz overthere? u should get some koreans in the game man that would be awesome, and yea the ceiling is not gettin higher so i guess i need to break my head threw it lol, peace

They hit the barz over here, but mostly a bunch of old guys and very traditional exercises only - straight dips, chin-ups, etc.

4 year old thread, not bad threadromancy ;-)

Yeah, they were talking about doing a muscle-up with palms facing you, just like a chin-up. And as they say, if you can get the the technique and timing down they're just as easy as a regular muscle-up.
