What do you think of Sesame bars as a source of protein, for pre/post workout?

And most of all, what's the truth about protein bars? I nearly bought some today, as you get a lot of protein without all the food eating, but they're bloody expensive, and in any case, I don't know if they're any good or not, better stay with the usual Tuna Yogurt and Nuts? LoL

Raw Ham, too salty, but it's got a lot of protein, I eat tons, any of yall do aswell?

Yea i would ditch pork, red meat all together and certain bars not all of them, and all the processed food. Your def better off with tuna, nuts, salmon, raw cheese, certain eggs, iso whey unflavored if you really want the extra protein i take this one 75-100grams worth post workout with a carb like sweet potatoes and 1lbs. of peanut butter if you want to gain muscle. The 1 jar or 1lb. of peanut butter a day will help a lot.

Damn...ditch pork? ahhh but I love my slow cooked pulled pork BBQ. I stay way from ham and any other processed foods.

Chia seeds are a complete protein and have loads of other good stuff too. Im not convinced that peanut butter is all that good. yeah there are lots of good stuff in peanuts but the protein in it is very poor quality and the balance of omegas is poor. chia blows peanuts away.

Wild jungle peanut butter, It is the only one i know of raw has full amino acids taste completely different they are purple.all protein has neg/pos chia has the omegas but lacks in other areas like antioxidants that peanuts have.Peanut butter and a banana is better then youthink.

Actually chia has higher levels of antioxidants than blueberries or PB
pb does have a good dose of resveratrol though.

Damn Ironloo! That wild jungle PB is more expensive that fillet mignon. Definitely not an economically viable option to eat a jar of that stuff every day

Right. Natural or Organic PB is good but not even in the same realm nutritionally as Jungle Peanuts. So which are you talking about? Also regular peanuts organic or not will give you a good dose of aflatoxin. So is it really worth it to eat PB with an incomplete protein profile, its protein bioavailability is rated at 43, or spend $20 a jar for Wild Jungle peanut butter? I have to think not. I love pb, but I dont want to worry about the aflatoxins. Im gonna skip the skippy.

I mainly eat the regular organic peanut butter that and a banana your body uses better then meat, thats why i don't listen to those ratings. And i eat pb every day if i am so weak that those toxins kill me then whatever guess the peanuts win.Damn shame to be beaten by a peanut.

Post Workout snack I have quite regularly:

80 grams of Tuna, (Oil already drained)
150 grams of white low fat yogurt
1 banana sliced up in the yogurt
Bunch of Almonds or Wholenuts

How is that? I know I should do like exact calculations and stuff but I haven't got time or money or even a scale to get into all that. Plus technically I'm trying to get bigger so I guess it's alright?

I just try and eat a bunch of stuff with protein...

I'm worried I eat too many peanuts, as they have fats too quite high.
Also, is it Better to eat them toasted and still in their shell rather than peanut butter which is processed? I buy them in their shell.

Never mind the 'handy' of having the butter spread already, I want to know which is healthier or more nutritional.

Cheers.

What's your take on Kebab???

So many people tell me it's still considered 'fast food' or whatever.

I don't go to mcdonalds and s**t like that, but I thought the Kebab is pretty good? I mean after all it's just meat and salad and onions in a sandwich. Why is it not healthy?

I don't know really, but I think it is a mixture of many meats right... Is there something weird or processed that makes that meat not good?

Any of yall Love kebab? XD
