Thanks guys this is only beginning of the new stuff prob only 1month in.

Holden #1 don't care who every athlete has to do deadlifts heavy frequent and for reps, what you can do for a max now try to get 10 reps with in time then repeat. Also the atlas stone had a huge shock on the body upper back neck, trap, arms legs, as the stones grow so will i. Soon heavy logpress/pullups.

pflmagic i mixed IF and a few things i experimented with. Mainly immense calories/carbs within and after workout, then after that. I am back o pounds of pb daily too.

After New diet i made up, and new training i found this to be the best out of my whole time training yet. Trying to train like a strongman combined training like a bar-athlete to have both power/strength/endurance keeping all the moves i learned, i call atlasthenics. So far my weight went up about decent 12lbs. and my reps went up alot and much more overall power than last year. 1st day back from injury feels good.

God DAYM, Lou! You look like Bane! I share the exact same view on training; a good combination of calisthenics and powermovements. It only sucks that my lower back is injured at the time...

What was once immovable is now feather, through hard days and weeks of hill sprints, throwing over bar, 50yd. dash, lift to shoulder slams, front squats, all done with the stone i can now say i mastered these 2 stones. Time to move up again and repeat, i refuse to use tacky to help me lift a stone i only use chalk and tape on forearms to not get cut up. My grip increased big time i can now grab the stone anywhere and lift it.

The trick to the stones is to grab them low and lift them high enough in one move. Explosiveness is key. I've seen many grab it too high and/or do the movement in too many steps that the stone just slips.

My favorite exercises are the Overhead Press/Log, Deadlift, Husafell Stone, Farmer's Walk, and the Atlas Stones. Hell, I love all the events.

That's great, man. 90 pounds seems to be the standard weight for most commercial logs.
I'm currently in the 230-250 range, but I'll be testing my maxes next week.
The main differences between the log and an oly bar is the grip (hammer vs standard) and the initial awkwardness when getting ready to press (depending on the size of the log and the size of your body). I've always found it smoother to press because of the grip.

Loo, you should do a brief log with this type of training; so you can set a benchmark for keen beginners!
