 Squat Help.

I've been doing squats and calf raises for lower body, but can't get proper full ROM on squats.

Just from practice I've progressed past half squats to get slightly more ROM, but not full yet. Is it a case of practice makes perfect and I'll get lower with time? Or is there a stretch or something I should do?

I'm aiming for pistols like most people. but need to perfect these first.
