| In the beginning of this month I made a post about my goals before the first Sunday of October.
Goals: 45 Push ups 15 Dips (I barely do them) 13+ Pull ups
Now I completed each one of these before my goal day, October 4th. But the pull ups are what I'm most inconsistent with. I only managed to bust out 13 pull ups once this month. Mostly, I get 10-11 before I'm done.
I don't know how to improve my numbers, I cant actually "go hard" on routines if I max out at 10 either. I'm thinking if could just be fatigue, my body gets worked hard in the fall. I do cross country. Will a few days rest help? I've been doing body weight training and weight lifting pretty much 4-5 days a week right after cross country.
Well anywayz,
Goals by November:
More efficient 45 push ups, 50 will come later.
16+ Dips
14+ Pull ups
Please help guys!! I'm really dedicated to this. |

| What I did when I was trying to get my numbers up was do 100 - 300 Dips 1 day, and the day after do 100 - 500 chin-ups/pull-ups, and the next day do about 1000 push-ups. Do this for about a 2 weeks. And My dips went from 25 to 50 in a week. You can decrease the numbers if you don't think you can do them but aim for those. |

| Yeah, as PowerhouseJ mentioned, do a lot of pull-ups throughout the day in sets. By the end of the day you'll have done a lot of them.
Also try weighted pull-ups as well. Use a vest, or put a dumbbell between your legs.
Mix it up a lot as well. Change your grip up and do chin-ups as well. Vary the reps.
When you hit your max on pull-ups, go right to a low bar and do 10 more reps, all negatives.
Good luck! |

| Once you hit your max pull ups, simply jump to the top of the bar and lower yourself down slowly and controlled, repeat that 10 times, they are called negatives. |

sometime numbers hold you back,it's a mental thing.quick tip:try pyramids, start with 2 push-ups standup drop down and do 4 repeat and do 6 repeat all the way to 10 then back down to 2, that's how I trick people into doing..don't even think about the total til after you complete it. tell me how it works for you |

| If you can do pull ups already, I (myself) would not do any negatives.
Negatives is lifting yourself up and controlling yourself going down. Most people cant do pull ups use this to build up to it.
you dont need to do that. I've gotten into pull ups lately and outta curiousity googled pull up programs.
look for recon ron's pull up program. I've never felt so great doing pull ups.. I'm pushing myself to do more. its a progression program for people that are in the military to work their way up to ton of push ups. |
