PostSubject: Beginner workout routine   Fri Apr 27, 2012 4:40 am

Hi Bar-brothers,

i´m already working out about 3 months. Now i just wanted to ask you for opinions or advices for my workout routine. I train 2 days in a row and use the 3rd day for complete regeneration.

Workout:

- Day 1:

-Pull-ups 8/7/8/7/4/4 with 90 sec rest + 5 x negatives (20-25 sec each repetition)
-Body rows on rings with feet on the ground and straight body 12/12/12 with 90 sec rest
- some exercices for lower back
- Chin-ups 8/8/6 90 sec rest + ~4x negatives 20 sec each

- Day 2:

- regular Push-ups + Flys on rings 20/20/20 90 sec rest(1 rep. regular push-up, 1 rep. fly and so on
- decline push-ups on rings 12/12/12 + 20/20 decline pushups without rings
- regular planque hold 3x 60 sec with 50 sec rest + 3x 60 sec side planque hold each side
- Handstand-pushups on bars 8/8/8/4 + 2x 50 sec hold
- Dips on rings 12/12/~9 + dips on rings with feet on the ground 12/12 + trizeps extension on rings 12/12

So that`s my routine. I would be really thankful for any comments.

Regards,

Heilmann Martin from Munich in Germany

What is your goals? I will say the first thing you should think about when you creating a routine, is what is your goal with your training.

Looks decent, but what about your legs?

First of all thank you for the first comments.

Well, my primary goal is strength and explosivness in my movements. In case of my legs, i make some exercices after each mountain running workout (2-3 times a week)

Hi Martin,

Any parks / outdoor bars in Munich?

I'll be studying there next school semester, we should train together sometime when the time comes.

For day 1 i would do pull/push high reps, day 2 pull/push strength/statics, on your rest day murder legs/core in high volume.

@ironloo

I don`t know whether i would be able to absolve the day 2 workout in case of soreness. Beside that fact, how could i go for high repetitions in exercices like Pull-ups or HSPU ? Thank you

@karl_bm

would be a pleasure for me to train with you. There are 2 good parks in munich. If you want, add me in facebook (Martin Heilmann) to stay in contact.

Regards
