 Full Body Basic Routine Twice A week?

PostSubject: Full Body Basic Routine Twice A week?   Sat Mar 17, 2012 1:36 am

Monday:

Pull Ups x 3 sets
Squats x 3 sets
Push Ups x 3 sets
Plank x 3 sets
Calf Raises x 3 sets

Thursday: (same as Monday)

Pull Ups x 3 sets
Squats x 3 sets
Push Ups x 3 sets
Plank x 3 sets
Calf Raises x 3 sets

Picking a set # of reps for each exercise, not going to failure on any set, just a couple reps before it. Will combine most exercises into a super set, doing them as a circuit.

Maybe replace a set of each with a pyramid set to mix it up once in a while.

It seems my elbows tend to flare up with pain if I do a lot of volume and/or go to failure on a lot of sets.

What do you think of this routine?

It's a decent routine, but I dont think that 2x/week is enough unless you do something else during the week.

Then you shold be careful enough not to flare it up. The main rule is to listen to ur body. If u think u are good to do it 3 times a week - do. If it is enough for u to do 2 times and u will be ok - don`t try to beat that number.

Yeah, I'm going to see how 2x a week feels for a little bit, then up it to 3 if I feel like I can do it. Thanks for the help!

Most important is to warm up well and to stretch after the workout!!!
If u feel like u need 30 mins to warm up before workout then do it.

Good Luck and yeah trial is the best way to figure out if something works!!!

No problems. Also notice what 1stratos1 says. He`s right. Warming up helps u to train better and stretching helps u to obtain normal state of ur system, not like durinig the workout.
