 Feedback on my workout routine? :)

PostSubject: Feedback on my workout routine? :)   Sat Dec 10, 2011 7:58 pm

3 day routine - starting with mobility and warmup exercises, wrist work and ending with stretching fo 10-15 minute Smile

Monday - Chest, back, biceps, triceps.
Handstand 3x10s
Pushup progression - close grip - 5x3 reps
Chest Dip - 5x3 reps
Pull Up - 5x3 reps
Horizontal Row - 5x3 reps

Wednesday - Core, legs
L-sit 3x10s
Dead hang for grip work - 3x20s
Headstand Leg Lift - 5x3 reps
Squat - 5x3 reps
Hanging Twisting Raise - 5x3 reps
Calf Raise - 5x3 reps

Friday - Mixture of both
Frog stance 3x20s
Back lever progression 3x10s
Hamstring hyperextension - 5x3 reps
Chin Up - 5x3 reps
Hanging Leg-Hip Raise - 3x3 reps


Adding reps until I can reach 12-15 for a 8 week cycle and then moving to the next progression in each Smile

I'm doing a pushup routine at the moment with each set being 5 diamond, 5 normal, 5 wide, 5 side to side. Do 3 sets of this. Ultimate goal is to do 4 sets of 10 of each pushup. Eventually I'm aiming for one of littlebeastm's pullup routines on bar-barians.com.

Aim is for strength and muscle! Diet is in check too, so don't worry about calories.

Might make the M/W/F routine a M/T/T/F routine, any ideas what I could do the extra day?

U can either do some cardio or some more work on core or legs? or both.

I think I might make it a posterior chain strengthening day with some core and legs - what do you think?

How is my routine anyway? Smile

yes i also think u can do some core and legs this day.

As for ur routine's effectiveness u are the only one who can figure it out Smile
If it works for u then its good if not try something else. Just be sure that u work hard, it always pays off!

I personally prefer to do one or two sets for core at least in every workout but thats just me.

Hope it helps, dont be afraid of trying it, sometimes we try to find the best routine when the most important thing is to just workout hard.

BTW read the training routines here on the forum and the training logs, i think they are really helpful!!!
