 Newbie looking for an intense mass gain routine

PostSubject: Newbie looking for an intense mass gain routine   Fri Nov 25, 2011 10:30 am

Hey, I just recently gave up weightlifting , today to be exact, in order to pursue calisthenics. It seems that it'll be a lot more enjoyable and it'll sure as hell be healthier for you and your body. Can someone please make me a routine for mass gain due to the fact that I'm pretty lost right now lol? Please and thank you Very Happy

Its great that you crossed over to calisthenics , but sorry no1 is going to write a routine for you .. have a look thru the forum and youl soon find what your after .. Now you have swapped over , you need to forget how u trained with weights and be more creative and find what works for you .. Look for posts by LBM or ironloo , these really know their stuff

Thanks a lot bro its very useful information but I'm still a little lost with the sets and reps to acquire mass. This is so much different than weightlifting lol

Before i try to give you any advice.Why do you want to gain so much mass,what is your weight and height? I wouldn't mind writing a routine out for you.

Also What are your maxes for Pull ups,Dips,Push ups so i can see your current strength/endurance.Can you do any of the more advanced moves like levers,planche,muscle ups ect.

How long were you lifting weights,and how long have you been training/incorporating calisthenics?

I'm just going for a bigger defined body, i got muscle its just bulky looking lol I'm 5'7 165lbs. pushups I can do 81 in 2:00min , dips I can do 25 , Pullups 13
I've been weightlifting for 2 years and I sure as hell can't do any advanced moves right now lol

max dips is 20
max pushups is 40

max pushup is 50
dont have a dip station so idk dips.. but max diamond pushups 20

i can also do the following:
2 one arm pushups on the left arm
7 one arm pushups on the right arm
20 Clapping Pushups
20 Ultra Wide Pushups
20 Diamond Pushups
20 Decline Pushups
50 Pushups
15 Hip Pushups
10 Crucifix Pushups
15 Chinups
10 Narrow Pullups
1 One Handed Chinup [NOT ONE ARMED]

Thanks a lot Wracko, i have helped many for free because i like to help people reach a newer,stronger,healthier self. I am going to become a personal trainer soon just got to get some things done before then. It will be like not working because if you do what you like (work )is no longer the term. I always try to help others.

Max Push-Ups: 40
Max Pull-Ups: 4
Max Chin-Ups: 3
Max Squats: 70-80, it has been a while
Max Lunges: 25
Max Dips: 4

I am 5'8, 185lbs

I have been seriously training for calisthenics for about one month now. All I have been doing so far is BW stuff, no weights. And I can't do none of that advanced stuff.

Im 5'8 ft. 145 lbs. 21yrs old male

My Max:

12 max Pull ups,
15 max Dips,
30 max Push ups
