Hello guys,

Since it was my last day of the week, I wanted to try the req, so basically this is what I did:

40 dips
20 pull ups
35 push ups
15 chin ups (U know my problems with MUs)

I did that in 7'20 which I thing is pretty bad, but it's my first attempt.
Anyway, now I realize how huge is the difference between doing the req in 10min and doing it in 6 !! It's another story man!
Anyway, I m taking 2 days off, I think my shoulders are beggin for it!
And I start again next week!
Anyway, good week end to all!

PAX.

This work for me, try to do that train, I pass from no one for 2 M'ps in one month, and add some NEGATIVES.

Hey i tried this program and it was tuff. Finished off round 1 perfect then did not match the numbers yet except for the pull ups and MU.

Will keep training hard.

Yeah, half requirements is a great workout as well. And yes, all of these workouts will prepare you for getting the Bar-barians requirements!

I also did this one the other day, starting with the full requirements:

1. 40 dips, 20 pull-ups, 50 push-ups, 5 muscle ups (about 6 minutes)
2. 35 dips, 15 pull-ups, 45 push-ups, 5 muscle ups (had to break up some of the sets, but no problem, just do as many reps as you can, rest a little, and then complete the set)
3. 30 dips, 10 pull-ups, 40 push-ups, 5 muscle ups

it's amazing how you can feel the progress day by day,
I still have problems with the MUs. I can't do more than 2.
I guess my technique is pretty bad!!

Don't worry, the muscle ups will come. Just be patient. Sometimes you hit a brick wall with the muscle ups and you think you'll never get better, but if you're patient and train hard, they'll get better!

You're welcome! Put the bar lower in the door and you may be able to do 'em, just like at the end of the vid.

Get your dad on that right away! lol!

Good luck!

Yeah,its pergect tutorial.
And i agree with guys that the most important in MU its basic exercises like pull-ups,dips,push-ups,etc.
I would like to add that MU need many attemps and it will bring the desired result Wink

I've been working on the bar MU for about 2 months now and have stalled. Not getting any higher on my pullups and not getting any more explosive either.
Rings.......no problem at all, slow or fast.
Maybe I'll go back to the beginning and work on strength to pull as high as possible.
Ring muscleups are much easier than the bar muscleup.....or so it seems ! Laughing

The rings require a very different technique to the bar, on the bar you should be trying to go around it rather than through it like you do on the rings.

Try getting a little bit of a swing on the bars, then as you hit the peak of the backward swing pull up. It will feel like you are doing a C around the bar Smile
