Just thought I'd throw up a log here to track my progress as I get better


Friday Sept 9 2011:

100 pushups
30 dips
20 pullups


Monday Sept 12 2011:

50 pullups
100 pushups
100 squats
50 bicycle crunches
100 knee raises on parallel bars
50 dips

Monday September 19th 2011:

freestyle routine, approximate numbers:

50-60 dips + typewriter dips
30-40 pullups + typewriter pullups and headbangers
20-30 diamond pushups
100 mountain climbers
jumping jacks between various exercises as rest

kommando, thanks for chiming in. I'm still working my numbers upward. I've done 100+ in sessions before, but those were dedicated pullup sessions. My numbers have been lower in the full body workouts just because of general fatigue from not resting between exercises. How do you usually structure your workouts?

Saturday Sept 24th 2011:

pseudo recovery day as I was still sore from pyramids

Ultimate frisbee practice from 4-6pm

brief routine maxing out on sets with no rest:

10 pullups normal grip
20 dips
5 wide grip pullups
10 dips
4 close grip pullups
10 dips
4 chins
10 dips

finished with typewriter pullups and typewriter dips


total= 50 dips, 23 pullups, + typewriters

Sunday September 25th 2011

paintball practice from 830am-230pm

Do you play full tournament/supair paintball for a team too? I miss doing 5man tournments, the adrenaline rush is incredible!

And to answer your questions, yes, I'm doing competitive paintball this year. Should be playing in x-ball tournaments and such, and I'm also on the ultimate frisbee team.

Across between netball and american football... and involves a LOT of running!

The pitch is split into 3 zones, 2 end zones and the game zone. The idea is to pass the disk to a player standing in the end zone opposite from where you started.

If the disk is dropped, intercepted, or taken out of the pitch during play a turnover occurs and the opposing team will gain control of the disk.

The player who has control of the disk has a set time limit in which to through the disk - this is enforced by an opposing player who counts - however that player must be within 3m to start counting.

Fun but hard work! Especially in the wind!!

^^^ That pretty much covers it for ultimate. Lots of sprinting, lots of fun. I'm doing sprint intervals after most practices to get my conditioning up and get faster.

I've also started getting some paintball gear. I picked up a Dye i4 mask in liquid red a few days ago Twisted Evil


Friday October 7th:

12 pullups
25 dips
8 wide grip pullups
15 dips
6 close grip pullups
10 dips
5 chinups
10 dips

3x static hold pullups (5sec top/5 sec mid/ 5 sec bottom)
5x static hold dips (5sec bottom/5sec top)
