Does anyone know of a good way to increase your max dip reps? I've seem to be stuck on the same amount of dips for awhile now.

There's lots of ways to increase rep count. Like M said "weighted", but there's more than one "best" way. Here's a few variables off the top of my head.

weighted
pyramid sets
static holds. top middle bottom
partials, max partials, top and bottom position (Beastmode did like 100)
pre exhausted
negatives
different hand postions, wide, narrow, uneven
plyometrics. explosive.

try adding them in different orders in your workout, beginning or at the end, or do more through out the day or week. "greasing the groove"

have fun and post a video of your progress!

Wear light vest around 20lbs. almost max out with the vest say 20 reps take the vest off quickly and right after max out without the vest then drop down right after and max out on pushups do 3 sets. I don't to these to often but GTG is my favorite see what works for you. Goodluck.

Thanks guys. I always try to switch up my routines, but I think i need to add in weighted excersises more than i have. I always figured weighted dips and pull ups gave strength, instead of endurance. It seems that a mixture of everything is the way to go.

Partials are where you only do half the movement, either the top half, or the bottom, also called half reps Smile.

pre exhausted dips are when you do an exercise the emphasize the tricep or chest before you perform your dips.. ex. doing standing skull crushers with a low bar or diamond pushups then immediatly doing dips.. also could be classified as a "superset"

if you have any more questions for me just ask Tim.. lol.. just kidding

What's going on Tim? Hows the training going? Still making progress on the handstands?

Hehe Very Happy always happy to help Wink

I'm doing good, had a few days off proper training though with my nephew's dedication and seeing a friend. Looking forward to hitting the bars when I get back this afternoon though!!

The handstands are going alright, just slow progress. I'm getting pretty consistent at holding a free standing handstand for minimum 10s and can get 2-6 reps of HeSPUs. The balance is still the limiting factor, especially when pushing back up from the lower position.

How's your training going?

Trainings going good. I'm in a high volume period right now, just trying to get as many reps as possible... stamina

Thinking about running an obstacle course this Saturday called The Pittsburgh Ruckus. 4.5 mile course involving climbing ropes, walls, wading through mud pits and various other obstacles.. top 10% move into championship round, winner receives the golden helmet lol...
