 Joshs Workout Log

Im starting to workout again and wanted to record my stuff somewhere safe, im going to currently basically move to my step dads and train for the military there, he just built a pullup bar and dip bars on teh side of his house, so i will start recording what i can do

warning, this is not to be viewed for very skilled people, i am complete beginner and not strong at all, if you have sugestions let me know

i have 2 weeks until i can use dipbars and pullup bars so, the beginning pages will be at home workouts i can find doing in my city.

enjoy a fat mans workout log


Current Weight = 329.2 pounds

Height = 5'11

age = 18 (august birthday)

First day

Tuesday May 17, 2011

I do a card trick, I shuffle the cards and pick 2 out, first one is how many sets, secound is how many i do in each set

Today i got 6 sets 5 in each set

2 pushups 3 knee pushups

5 knee pushups

5 knee pushups

1 pushup 4 knee puhsups

5 knee pushups

5 knee pushups.

ran for 5:30minutes walked 14:30minutes...hoping this changes i used to be able to run striaght for 18mins, everything come within time.

thats it for today.

jogged today

8minutes of jogging

10 minutes of walking..

already 1 day difference. i like it..

tommarow are pushups again and im WAY sore..but old well.

so 12 sets of 3

3 knee pushups

3 knee pushups

3knee pushups

3knee pushups

tried to do a pushup but could so yea 3 knee pushups

3 knee pushups

3knee pushups

3 knee pushops

3 knee pushups

3 knee pushups

3 knee pushups

3 knee pushups

did that so far today, not sure if im going to run today, depends if i play basketball or not today.

Looks good to me - but I don't get why you use the card trick to determine your sets/reps and not just set it up yourself (make your own routine).

okay im at my dads house now, yesterday i did 10sets of dips

5 barely goin down dips

and 5 foot on a ladder dips good ones goin all the way down

today is pullup day

yesterday did 15 sets of body rows

upright rows did 15sets with bricks in a bucket

today i did assisted dips with a ladder 7sets

7sets of pushups

and going to do 7sets of bench dips(for backarm)

today im really tired been working out everyday for the past week with atkins diet and exerice plus work

so tommarow im going to take a brake then monday going to do pullups and start core exercises, then ima start jogging instead of walkin at the lake.

did 10sets of body rows, 10 sets of 15 on up right rows with bricks in a bucket

and i rested today so tommarow im going to start alot

going to try to do pyramid set and try it out


gunna do ladder dip then squats and then keep goin up then down

then going to add some core too, im thinkin im gunna do this everyday at least static holds or somthin

then knee pushups, maybe even start doing 10sets of 1-3 pushups and instead of knee pushups to increase reps.

so far today i did a pyramid set with dips and squats


the squats i do are assisted so all these dips i did were assisted with feet on a ladder,



10 dips 1 squat

8dips 2 squats

6dips 4 squates

4dips 6 squats

2dips 8squats


1dip 10squats

then i went back up

10squats 1dip

8squats 2dips

6squates 4 dips

after this point i stopped squates because it was gettin to hardcore, my legs are killin me right now i sure the hell gunna need a epson salt bath tonight hahaha

2squats

1squat

after this my step dad was doing 15 sets

so i did 3 more sets to match him

1negative dip (not assisted)

1 negative dip (not assisted)

1 negative dip(not assited)

later on today im going to do pushups

im going to try 15sets of 1 pushup

instead of doing knee puhsups like i usually do.

then im going to do some planks for 1min, probley 3 times.

thats what i did, im happy because i could even do 1 pushup this was had but i got it done

not the best form as when i push up one arm pushs then the other

the wierd thing is that my right does it and then if i do the next pushup my left does it

so i guess im gettin both stronger, going to do situps and planks tonight, ill edit one of these for what i did with my core.

did elevated pushups 10sets

did 5 sets of negative dips

did 4sets of bench dips

this was yesterday

today i did 13sets of body rows max rep each set.

tommaro going to do pyramid set with pushups in morning

next set i added lawn mower dips (bench dips but with a lawnmower hehe)

10 pushups 2 bench dips

8pushups 4 bench dips
6pushups 6bench dips
4pushups 8bench dips
2pushups 10bench dips

and i didnt go back up i was really tired, i might go do some more pushups

btw these were all elevated pushups

was doing them off my stepdads launmower, i get more of a burn doing it elevated then knee pushups so i started doing them elevated.

did first set of pyramids with just upright row and body rows

your push ups have increased alot, at your weight ( no offense) keep it up cheers
and may i ask, have you lost any weight?

hehe thanks none taken, and im at 320 right now, without any cardio, im leaving my stepdads maybe this sunday and hes gettin me a bike so not only will i be workin out but ill also have cardio with my bike, and once i get to 280 maybe i can start jogging, worried about doing it now because i dont want to stress my joints too much so, like 9 pounds or so, with my clothes on ive lost Very Happy



Today


Rest day, worked out 6days again.........today i get to let my muscle recooperate Very Happy.

10sets of elevated pushups 10 in each set

wanted to feel the big burn had rest between each set, later on im going to do real pushups today

going to do 10sets of xx ammount i can do, then later on ima do bench dips for my back arms.

did regular pushups

did them until fail

then i couldnt do anymore i tryed to max up, later ima do 5sets of 10 bench dips then today is done. i like that my pushups are getting better, if i would have just done 1 pushups everyset i probley would have done more sets, but i wanted to see how many i could bust out.

i too used to be overweight close obese at the age of 10, so i wish you all your goals, and once youre there, it is unbelievable! So dont stop Very Happy

and skateboarded today, gettin a bike tommarow and then home the next day, gunna be fun ridin my bike around lookin for workout areas

took a another restday, my muscles didnt get enough rest the other restday so im takin a another rest day then tommarow ill get a nice full energized workout...going home tommarow also..going to start bycling. when i get home also.


took another rest day, just got home gunna do push exercises tommarow, and today i skated also.
