 Question about density training

PostSubject: Question about density training   Mon Apr 25, 2011 1:37 am

So I've been doing pull ups for a while and recently hit a plateau at about 24. I saw the density training post and it looked like a pretty good workout so I started doing it for the past few workouts. My question is should you always only do the density training workout twice per week, or should you increase the number of days at a certain point? Thanks in advance!

Also, to phrase the question differently is 2 days between workouts too much. For example right now I'm doing sets of 10 for 6 min on mondays and thursdays, and running and jump roping the days in between. My goal is 30 pull-ups.

I think 20+ pull ups are great already, so congrats on that!

For me, I think 2 days between workouts is too much. Try to limit your rest to a day, 48 hours is a looooong time if you think about it.

I would suggest working on muscle-ups, too increase your strength. Once that's been in progress for about four weeks, try a max rep pullup thing. I can almost guarantee you'll be able to pump out at least 3-4 more. On the other hand, keep up with sets of 20 pullups in between muscle-ups, so you don't lose that endurance
