PostSubject: Need help with a Workout Routine.   Thu Feb 10, 2011 11:55 am

I'm skinny and I'm waiting to gain mass/visible muscle in 3 months. This isn't too big of a goal is it? I was planning to go to the gym, but I recently have gotten a job and joined a band so time is short and I really only have time to do things around my house/in my house.

I have no idea where to start, is the problem. Treat me as a beginner since I haven't lifted weights in a few months either. Also tell me if 3 months is too soon for me to see good results, I want to look good with a shirt off, muscular, etc.

I'd like to know a specific workout as well, something that you used that has helped you.

I really appreciate this and thank you all for helping.

1. How old are you? you might still be growing.

2. What is your height and weight?

3. How is your diet? Some think they eat enough but it really isn't.

4. What was your previous training like?

19, so probably not really growing.

2. What is your height and weight?
5'8'' and 135 or so.

3. How is your diet? Some think they eat enough but it really isn't.
I need to eat more I know that. But I wanted a legit workout before increasing my calories so it doesn't just turn to fat.

4. What was your previous training like?
Simple mon wed fri workout, 5x5 and using only compound lifts.

The only weightlifting exercises needed for you would be dead lifting and squats do high reps and heavy weight twice a week, these two exercises release the most growth hormones that will aid in your mass gain. The rest of your training you should focus on the basics, push ups, pull ups, dips, rows, leg raises once your reps are high enough do theses exercises with added weight. You have to eat enough healthy food with these exercises to get the most from your workouts. I helped a friend who weighed about your weight get up to 152-155lbs. before the marines and helped him get his dead lift up from struggling with 135lbs. to 235lbs. for 5 reps dead lifts and squats helped him.

Noooo.

I'm saying I won't have access to a gym, so I can't do any weightlifting now. And I'm asking what I can do with just bodyweight exercises.
