PostSubject: Hanging leg raises help   Fri Oct 01, 2010 6:59 am

hey guys,

I can do hanging leg raises with my arms in a 90 degree pull position, as having my arms bent helps a lot, but when i switch to straight hanging leg raises is struggle a bit - i can hold l-sits for ages, so i know my legs can go to 90 degrees and beyond - should i practice dragon flags 1st ??

or just do bent leg raises?

any tips? thanks

just do them. in order to get good at something, do it a lot. just use good form, dont swing, if its hard just keep doing it, itll get easier.

On the contrary, if you can't do it with straight arms yet, swing a little bit. The same concept is used by gymnasts to practice planches. They swing up into it on a dip bar and try to control the negative. So do the same thing and when it gets easier try to muscle through it with control.
