PostSubject: This Is My Diary   Thu Sep 23, 2010 12:04 am

Hey there mates:

Today's work was lazy. I am still sore from what i did yesterday.

In fact none of you knows my "routine" so here it goes:

I live 1,5 miles from a park. I go there jogging. When i get there i stretch a lot and then i start to do whatever i want. Then i go home (walking. i still can't go jogging after workout).

Well this was my workout:
I started doing pullups. I did 10 on my first try. Then i did 2. Then i tried but my arms did not pull up.
Then i went for pushups. Did a total of 50. 2 series of 25.
I also made dips. 2 series of 10
Yesterday i did squats but my legs are getting the hang of jogging since a very short time so i'll take it easy the first month.
Finally i did 50 crunches and 50 leg raises.

I will do similar tomorrow. When it get's easy i will raise it up and when i can handle it good without getting sore i will jog back home.

Any advice is very welcome.

Best wishes to you all bar-mates

Hey fellas:

I did kinda the same that yesterday. Only a little bit harder.

I jogged a little bit harder:

-Got there
-Stretched
-30 Squats, then i did 10 (i am in the process of knowing myself, don't want to rush anything)
-50 crunches
-50 leg raises
-Then i got there... INTO THA BAR. I thought that maybe it was a good idea to make a pyramid. So i did a 2 4 6 4 2 pyramid. Worked pretty well. I don't think i could make it with 8 so i will continue with this one untill it becomes easy.
-Then i saw the paralels. I thought that it would be good to see how many 5 repetition series could i do. I did 6 with a total of 30 dips (I could more but i don't want to push myself just for now)
-Finally i did 3 series of 20 pushups.
-And then i jogged back home.

It was definitely not the hardest training but not the easiest.

So i think i am making good progress! Smile

Keep the good work barbarians! I felt i was not alone today
Peace

np. even if u dont make it to 50! you should work up on it! try always getting in the hardest move you can get it. even if it is for only a very little reps (even 1 rep) at a time. that will make u stronger.

Then you say I should get the hardest move i can do? I mean i think i can do a few shoulder push ups, but they wear me down mentally xD
I'll keep it in mind. Thanks. Any other suggestion on what excercise could i add? Or wich to change?

Peace

no.. umm..

do ur workout. but u know after getting all ur reps etc in. also try a few harder moves. just for a more challenge.

oh.. and vary your grip and hand positions! this has helped me a lot!

push ups = wide grip, diamond, normal, uneven, clapping, etc..

pull ups you can also vary grip! DO ALSO CHIN UPS! dont just do pull ups!

and add some static holds.

ok anyway. i talked too much ^^ u got ur things good in here! never stop!

I like switching my grip every set for pull ups, like one set regular, one set wide, one set neutral (in between monkey bars) one set soldier etc. hits muscles different ways. and like pulldogg said DO CHINS! they dont hurt! Razz just be sure to do all sorts of grips, push up variations, whatever. if you get bored, change it up!!
when you say legs raises, are those hanging leg raises?

Ok guys:

I got back from training. Here is what i did:

- Jogged into the park
- Stretched
- 2 series of 30 squats
- 2 series of 25 full sit ups (i could not do them just on the floor, so i helped myself with a tree)
- 2 30 second planks (i'll come to max out, but just not yet)
- 2 series of 15 hanging leg raises
- a pyramid like yesterday of pull ups, did a wide grip but nothing else new (they have not became any easier)
- 6 series of 6 dips (i love this ones, they pump my arms)
- 3 series of 20 push ups
- jogged back home and it was very hard to keep my legs jumping but i did it.

Well see what comes for tomorrow
Peace

Yeah, already said but crunches are pretty worthless, full range sit ups all the way.

there are easier methods. lol ^^

like u want to warm up ur chest for push ups? do incline push ups wich are pretty easy and dont put much stress but pump blood and warum up the musculature u need. same with pull ups. all with one leg ofc.

ofc dont forget arm raises 100 x 2, also arm circles from small to big and big to small, and reverse etc.

or do contrast hot & cold showers lol Very Happy
