If your push up handles are too short use the seat of two equal height chairs, or you could try pushing through your fingers on the floor. That feels a lot harder though.

Where do you do your dips? Do L-Sit practice there.

Okay, so then do your L-Sit's on the parallel bars. Just hold the top part of the movement of the dip and work on progressing to the fully extended L-Sit and then maybe even the V-Sit.
