 doggs training log

i will update in here what i do etc. just also for me to keep track of what i am doing. u ppl seeing what i am doing and correcting my mistakes. lol. and in general to see progress and keep me motivated.

goals right now study

1.) generally my number 1 goal is strength.. but atm i wanna get a few reps up

2.) increase in pull ups/chin ups

3.) increase push ups

4.) do my daily ab work every morning and every evening

i think this is it.

todays workout:

i will go with a pavel routine that has been on the forum already at least once i think. the 5-4-3-2-1. this will help me get my reps up + build my stamina. i normally prefer chin ups than pull ups. i believe that chin ups are a bit superior for different reasons. but in this routine i will be using strict palm away pull ups. well.. for now at least, normally i enjoy mixing up the grip every few reps or every set.

morning ab work.

then:

warm up running

pull ups: 5-4-3-2-1

some negative chin ups after that

push ups. 15-12-10-8-6-4 (dunno rly if i can use this kinda principle for push ups but i will try. i can do more push ups than 15, but ok its a good start + the reps go up daily. so no need to rush. last few sets i do diamond push ups

and some frog stand hold as i have discovered those static holds and i rly like them so i will also progress in those.

evening ab work (as soon as i leave laptop lol)

thats it for today. solid one.

2nd day:

morning ab workout

5-4-3-2-2 pull ups (overhand grip all sets)

15-12-10-8-6-6 push ups

evening ab workout

had no time to do anything else cuz i had tons of work to do and also fell asleep lol.

again solid workout

instead of training abs you should train your core.
i hope you don't forget the lower back
even tho there is much more to your core than abs and lower back

core: abs, lowerback, obliques, glutes, trapezius, rhomboids, psoas serratus anterior and a few others

regular morning ab workout

pull ups: 5-4-3-3-2

push ups: 15-12-10-8-8-6

evening core workout

i plan on incorporating some 20-10 tabata training in the mornings. i will check on what and when.

tabata 20-10s:
burpees
mountain climbers
tuck jumps
split squats

pull ups: 5-4-4-3-2

push ups: 15-12-10-10-8-6

evening ab workout

those tabatas are killers o.O

also rest day :/ had too many things to do. but ok, never heard that an additional rest day is bad for u. the opposite.. it probably is good. lol

oh, how many weeks are u already on this routine?

day 8:

mid-day:
couple of uphill sprints (rly f**k me up lol)
20-10 tabata squats
one legged calf raises
pull ups: 6-5-4-3-2
push ups: 15-14-12-10-8-6


evening ab workout (incoming Wink)

I've done the routine twice now. I'm on my second time, i started from 10-8-6-4-2 now I'm on 14-12-10-10-8 and have two workouts left. Found it very tough this time round! Looking forward to finally doing 15 pullups though.

wow after those 3 days of rest this workout was very easy. could have done way more reps. i upped also push up reps.

mid day:
pull ups: 7-6-5-4-3
push ups: 25-20-16-12-8-4

evening:
ab+core workout
handstand holds
sqauts
lunges
calf raises

i am away from home for 4 days and havent spotted a spot for pulls etc.

i will check out what i can do.

when i get back i can boost my workouts. wiahaha

day 22:

i alternated push ups with pul ups:
pull ups: 7-6-5-4-4
push ups: 25-20-16-12-8-8
ab+core workout.
